

Our Bread
The bread that has made Altamura famous worldwide is made with durum wheat semolina, sourdough starter, salt, and water. The dough is leavened for over eight hours and then baked in our wood-fired oven (one of the oldest in Italy). With a crispy crust and a straw-yellow color, wood-fired bread also releases a subtle smoky aroma that gives it an unbeatable flavor.
